I woke up to a phone call from my friend Meredith Watson. She was touring and in town from Nashville. "We need a music video." Why not I thought. She picked me up at my Brooklyn apartment. Her jeep Bruce Vanner was packed with equipment and other musicians so I had to cramp in the back and sit on someones lap. It was the perfect April day, pretty chilly but beautiful. Where do you shoot an impromptu music video with no real gear or crew? The magical Coney Island of course. Nothing in Coney Island can go wrong and if it does it's still right.
Check out the video. Labor of love and playfulness all around. And listen to Locust Honey's album 'Let me cross your mind' (When the whiskey's gone featured in Oren Moverman's film Time out of mind). It's really really... really good.
